Hello

Is it possible to control a 15-inch LCD with a ColdFire?. Do not know if I can do, is to buy a monitor and remove, to begin testing. Many thanks.

Regards

Yes, it is possible. To do that, you are going to need a graphics controller. Epson and Fujitsu are two prominent manufacturers of embedded graphics controllers. Have a look at their products. Normally, you'd interface to a TFT panel with a digital RGB interface. But there are graphics controllers with video DAC built-in, so you can interface to a standard analog VGA input.

It depends what you're trying to do - VGA / SVGA RGB output, PAL/NTSC composite video, or control an LCD module directly at the hardware level.

Check out the Maxim MAX7456 for PAL/NTSC composite video on-screen-displays, they do similar chips for VGA/RGB too.
