About MCF5482 SPI to USB solution

I want to connect a USB host to my MCF5482 platform via a MAX3421, the interface is SPI, the MAX3421 support spi clk up to 26M, and suport full speed USB host 12M bps.

Is there any one used MCF54xx like this? I want to know how fast it is up to, I think it is impossible to reach 12M bps.

Hi,

The DSPI module on MCF54xx can attain up to 25MHz and also you can use the eDMA module to reduce CPU load, I think with 26MHz SPI on MAX3421, it can satisfy the requirements for USB 12Mbps.

By the way, you are not supposed to attain 12Mbps any way, it's just a theoratical value.
