16 bit PWM on 64 pin MCF52221CAE?

Hi,

Does anyone know if I can use the PWM timers in 16 bit (concatenated) mode on the (pin-limited) 64 pin MCF52221CAE?

The reference manual says that when the timers are operated in 16 bit (concatenated) mode, that the outputs are available on pins PWMOUT7, 5, 3, and 1.

But the (pin-limited) 64 pin MCF52221CAE only seems to have pins bound to PWMOUT6, 4, 2, and 0 (at pins DTIN3, 2, 1, and 0).

I am afraid your assessment is 100% correct - you can't use the 16 bit mode on this chip.

You will have to do it manually, perhaps using a PIT or a DTIM.
