Using Visualization Tool with ADC

Hi,
I am using the HCS08(QG), and I have configured the ADC in 'Continous Sample Mode' and its using the Bus Clock of 4.1 MHz.

But when I use the Visualization Tool to plot the ADC input, I get around 3 samples per second. Is it a limitation with the Visualization Tool or am I doing something wrong?

Hello

I assume you have added a Chart Instrument to your Visualization tool component. Am I right?

You can adjust the "Unit Size" to get a smaller period, but keep in mind that if the period is too small there will be a lot of communication through the BDM connection and your application might not run in real time any more.

Thanks a lot for your reply :smileyhappy:.

Yes, I have added the Chart Instrument.

Is there a way I can find out how small I can keep the peroid, while still staying within the limits of real-time?

I'm using Device Initialization Expert to configure the ADC. It shows a certain value for the conversion time, is it the effective sample  rate or just a theoretical value?
