How to retain the Data in EEPROM when download code into Flash for HCS12 ?

Hello,

I have a HCS12 project. I want to keep the data in EERPOM when I download the s19 code into Flash. I dont know how to do. Because now when I download the S19 code, the EERPOM and Flash both are erased.  How to retain the data in EEPROM??
