Codeworrier not updating programmer firmware. Please help.

Hi guys, sorry if this post is in the wrong area.

In codeworrier, when I press the debug button it says that the firmware in the P&E micro Multilink Universal is old and it will update it with a new firmware. It tries to update it but comes back with this error: Flash Erase Failed. Result = $8882 Firmware update failed. Retry?

If I retry it still fails, if I choose NO to retry then my standalone 5645S board is programmed with my assembler code via JTAG interface.

Can you please let me know how to update the firmware in the programmer.

Hi,

you can try to update the firmware using this utility from Pemicro:

If it still doesn't work, there's probably some problem in your probe. In this case, I would recommend to ask Pemicro directly for help:
