CodeWarrior for HCS12 uP

Hi,

I recently downloaded an evaluation version of CodeWarrior for the HCS12 family.  I was intending to use it for the MC9S12E256 uP.  However, this uP is not listed as one of the 'derivatives' during initial project creation.  Is this processor indeed supported?

Also, I've used CodeWarrior IDE and debugger for an HCS08 processor.  Are there any major distinctions between the two IDEs or debugger or other capabilities that I should keep in mind?

Thanks.

Hi,

Could you please help me? I could find an evaluation version for HC12, but could not find the same SW for HCS12.

Could you please provide me with the URL?

Thanks.

Best Regards.

Hello Quebec,

This is the same.
CodeWarrior v4.5 also covers S12 and S12X.

Cheers,
Alban.

Hello

Which version of CodeWarrior for HCS12 are you using?
To retrieve that information go to Help -> About Metrowerks CodeWarrior or help -> About Freescale CodeWarrior and press the Installed Products button.
You should see the version number of the product you have installed.

I have checked with CodeWarrior for HC12 V4.5 and I can create a project for MC9S12E256 there.

CodeWarrior for HC12 is pretty similar to CodeWarrior HC08. Only extension are specific to HCS12 core and architecture.
