Reading Firmware from HC16

Hello.

I am quite new using Freescale microcontrollers and the USB Multilink programmer.

But I am not new in this world of programming microcontrollers.

I need to know how to retrieve a hex file from a HC16 microcontroller using the USB Multilink programmer. Currently I am trying the free software provided by Cosmic. The ZAP debugger and the IDEA made by Cosmic seem to be the tools to use but they do not have any documentation on how to use the software beings that it is older. I could use any help that I can get.

Best regards.

Hi Austin Hamman

HC16 is our legacy product. NXP doesn't have programmer for it.

We have to use 3rd parties' SW for it, for example P&E, Cosmic.

However, as these tools are not NXP product, we don't have doc for it. Please contact the product owner company support for it.

Have a great day,
Jun Zhang
