FXTH8700 service pack

Hi,

I need to install the FXTH8700 service pack for CodeWarrior 10.5.

When I install the downloaded pack following the guide an error occurs:

"Missing requirement: MCU v10.5 S08 Service Pack for HCS08 FXTH870000 1.0.3 (com.freescale.mcu10_5.HCS08_FXTH870000.win.sp.feature.group 1.0.3) requires 'com.freescale.mcu10_5.HCS08.FXTH87xx00.win.sp [1.0.0,20.0.0.RT5]' but it could not be found"

What does it means?

I can't find this packet and also I saw there are two updates in the site:

FXTH87 Tire Pressure Monitor Sensor Family|Freescale

but the second one is not available!

I think I need this patch but I can't download it.

Can someone help me?

Thanks.

Riccardo

Hi Pascal

Yeah, I have done this way back and I fixed the error the same way by cleaning and building it again.
Nevertheless, my error (the picture at the very top) is different from this and it has to do with the Full Chip Simulator. I get it when I try to run and debug :smileyhappy:

Do you have an idea about that basically?

Sorry that it takes so long to pin down the exact question, your support is well appreciated!
Cheers
Minko

Hi Minko,

Do you refer to ...

Problem FXTH87xx Run demo code.png

This means not application file was found.

There is a problem with the project.

After you have build the project you should be able to launch the debug.

Now each debug configuration is configured to download a specific file.

Can you check you've build the right project ?

Have a great day,
Pascal

Hi Marco,

Now I know what is the problem.

the wrong file was linked to web update system.

I've compared the size of this zip file available on internal archive DD and the file available on web:

  1. 3.397 kb vs to 146 kb.

there is a problem with the web link.

I've contacted the web administrator.

Regards

Pascal

I didn't see sorry!

I installed every service pack now for my CodeWarrior. ( I have 10.6 version but everything works)

However I have a problem with the PE Multilink now.

When I try to download the firmware on the TPMS sensor using my PE Multilink this error occurs:

"Launching -FXTH87xx22_Starter_Project_CW10_FLASH_PnE U-MultiLink.launch- has encountered a problem.

An application file was not specified in the launch configuration."

Then I saw that inside the folder : Project_Setting/Debugger of the Starter_Project for FXTH8700 there are only .launch files.

Differently to other starter_projects for mpxy8600 sensor, the .pemicro file is missing.

Could be this the problem??

Where can I find it?

Thanks,

Riccardo

Hi Riccardo,

I don't have the FXTH board.

I've performed some tests with a TWR-S08PT60 with Multilink Universal rev B.

for this test I'm using MCU v10.5.

I've created an project example for FXTH and PT60 with Multilink interface.

On my PT_60, after to have build the project I can load the application on-board with Multilink without problem.

I've checked the 2 projects and they are very similar.

On MCU v10.6.

with the wizard I've created 1 project for FXTH and 1 for MPXY.

2 projects are very similar and I don't have .pemicro in the \test_mpxy\Project_Settings\Debugger too.

Can you try with a sample example based on project wizard ?

Have a great day,

Hi Riccardo,

The patch can be downloaded on web site:

      http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/overview.jsp?code=CW_UPDATES_MCU_10_5

Scroll down to

CW MCU v10.5 FXTH87 Service Pack

Adds support for FXTH87xx00 Tire Pressure Monitoring System

This service pack is for CodeWarrior Development Studio for Microcontrollers v10.5. It includes support for the FXTH87xx00 Tire Pressure Monitoring System in the form of:

    • Derivative-specific C header, register, memory and linker files.
    • Derivative-specific assembly include file.
    • P&E target connection drivers.
    • Open Source BDM connection drivers.

      Dependencies: None

I've re-installed the MCU V10.5 (as the MCU v10.6 has been released).

Then Help + Install new Software ...

Select FSL MCU Eclipse Update Site - http://freescale.com/lgfiles/updates/Eclipse/MCU10_5/com.freescale.mcu.updatesite

Then I've selected: MCU v10.5 S08 Service Packs.

At the end Eclipse will re-start.

Click on Help + Install New Software...

Click an Add and in the Add Repository click on Archive ... and select com.freescale.mcu10_5.HCS08_FXTH870000.win.sp.v1.0.3.zip.

Put a name and click on ok.

Now select MCU v10.5 S08 Service Packs.

Then I get an error:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

  Software being installed: MCU v10.5 S08 Service Pack for HCS08 FXTH870000 1.0.3 (com.freescale.mcu10_5.HCS08_FXTH870000.win.sp.feature.group 1.0.3)

  Missing requirement: MCU v10.5 S08 Service Pack for HCS08 FXTH870000 1.0.3 (com.freescale.mcu10_5.HCS08_FXTH870000.win.sp.feature.group 1.0.3) requires 'com.freescale.mcu10_5.HCS08.FXTH87xx00.win.sp [1.0.0,20.0.0.RT5]' but it could not be found

It's the same error.

I will continue to investigate it and will keep you informed.

Have a great day,
