CW for MCU 10.6/10.6.4 SE (Eclipse) Licensing

I am currently working with the FRDM-KL25Z hardware and I am going to use CW for MCU 10.6 SE (Eclipse) to programming. I would like to know, Does this license perpetual or only work for 30 evaluation days? and Does it enterprise or academy license? Is it the same way for CW for MCU 10.6.4 SE (Eclipse)?

Hello Sergio,

you use CW for MCU 10.6.4 SE, here "SE" means special edition.

special edition  is a perpetual version, but it has code size limit:

Kinetis E, L, M Series: 64 KB
Kinetis K Series: 128 K

If you work with evaluation version. there is no code size limit, but has 30 days time limit.

I have one question more. You said that this is a perpetual version. However perpetual not always means free, so Has the CW 10.6.4/10.6 SE  free and enterprise license?

CW 10.6.4/10.6 SE  is free and perpetual. But it has code size limit.

In fact, CW 10.6.4/10.6 executes special edition in default level.  That’s to say, even there is no license installed under CW, it is SE  is free and perpetual. But it has code size limit. If your project C code size is under this limit, you can use it for your project for free.
