Hardware Diagnostics test running issue on MPC8379 based target in CW 8.8 PowerPC

Hi,

I am using MPC8379 based processor board. If 120MB Memory test is performed using code warrior, it does not responding more than 5 hours. Afterwards 128MB is tested by splitting 16MB memory range. it was working.

Note: code warrior download algorithm is selected as target based.

1) How maximum memory range is possible to test at one shot?

2)whether MPC8379 is possible to test the memory using CW10.4?

Hello Karunakaran Radhakrishnan,

MPC8379 is not supported in CW PA 10.4, but I think you could try the workaround:

1. Create a project for 83xx
2. Use the .cfg file for 8379 for your board as init configuration file
3. Create a New Target Task: Task Type: Hardware Diagnostics for Power Architecture.
4. Connect to the board using above .cfg file
5. Choose memory test and execute

Try this and see if it's faster.
