CodeWarrior IDE font size too small (unreadable)

I have a nice laptop with a very fine-pitch screen (tiny pixels).
The CodeWarrior IDE seems to ignore the Windows system font size.
The dialogs, messages, etc. are tiny and essentially unreadable.
The IDE preferences seems to only affect the code-edit windows.

Millions of people have screens like this.
Obviously I'm not the only one with this issue...
So, how does one get CodeWarrior to display in a legible size ?

Thanks in advance for your assistance,
Best Regards, Dave

For Windows XP, go to the Display Control Panel, and select the Appearances tab. Under the Font Size, pick Large Fonts. Then Click on the Advanced button and adjust some of the settings there. (You have to have the Large Fonts set before any changes in the Advanced Settings take effect.) However, it seems that you're right in that you can not change all of the displayed text, nor the text in the settings panels. Best quick fix is to lower the resolution of the display while you're using CodeWarrior. It's not an optimal fix, considering why you bought the screen in the first place, but it's all I've been able to come up with for now.

Hi Tom - To your first point "For Windows XP, go to the Display Control Panel, and select the Appearances tab. Under the Font Size, pick Large Fonts. Then Click on the Advanced button and adjust some of the settings there. (You have to have the Large Fonts set before any changes in the Advanced Settings take effect.)"... That's already done, by me and anyone who has a screen like this. The problem is, CodeWarrior is buggy and ignores these Windows system settings for its own dialogs and windows...

To your second point "However, it seems that you're right in that you can not change all of the displayed text, nor the text in the settings panels. Best quick fix is to lower the resolution of the display while you're using CodeWarrior. It's not an optimal fix, considering why you bought the screen in the first place, but it's all I've been able to come up with for now." So I need to get another display ? A quick fix but certainly not good long-term for anyone working on a laptop ! Aarrrggg...

Can you confirm that this is a known bug, and give an ETA on resolution ?

Thanks !
Best Regards, Dave

To your points: When I experimented with the Win XP settings, I had CodeWarrior and Outlook both on-screen. Both CodeWarrior and Outlook's fonts to the window titles and Dialog titles did change. However, the contents of the window (either a CW panel or an Outlook mail list) didn't change. So we're not alone in ignoring system settings.

Having said that, it would be nice to have CodeWarrior usable on larger, higher-density screens. The best thing you can do is formally submit a Service Request so that the problem gets logged and tracked in the CodeWarrior bug-reporting database. Click here to do that.
