Hi there,

I am trying to update the compiler in the CodeWarrior 10.1 SE version on Windows XP. However, I keep getting the below error when installing new software under HELP. Can anyone advise?

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed session context was:smileysad:profile=PlatformProfile, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.provisional.p2.

I had the same problem, and after a phone call, they sent me this PDF file which helped me get it to work. Reloading the software was a waste of time, as was downloading the patch directly and trying to use help-install software. It seems there is an error in the URL they provide for the update. I clicked on and added a '/' at the end of their URL and it worked, after several hours of cursing.

Yes, this document is right, I am presently in the midst of an online update for CW MCU 10.1.

If I un-installed CW10.1 then re-installed it, I think all of patchs and updates should be installed again, since I got error message while building file.

However, I can not re-install patchs successfully, CW10.1 reported that it was installed. I got feedback message as following:

"Cannot complete the request.  See the error log for details.
"MCU v10.1 Compiler Update (ColdFire, Kinetis, Qorivva)" will be ignored because it is already installed."

My question is how to re-insall it agian?

I found the way to un-install CW10.1 with all patches & updates.

Please delete the folders "c:\Users\Your user Name\.codewarrior" & "c:\Users\Your user Name\.eclipse" after un-install CW10.1

Now I can re-install CW10.1 with all of patches successfuly.

Currently, to update the CodeWarrior tools you have to download an installer from the Freescale CodeWarrior web page and run it. You cannot update it through the Help choice in Eclipse.
