CCS: USB OPEN FAILURE Error Codewarrior 8.3

Hello.

I am experiencieng troubles with my USB-TAP.

Ii is giving the message: "CCS:USB OPEN FAILURE" while loading the debugging data, on Codewarrior 8.3.

I am using a Win7 32bit computer, with CWH-UTP-ONCE debugger, to program MC56F8013VFAE microcontroller.    MC56F80xxx 

Green light is glowing when I connect the USB TAP (ONCE) to the system. But i am not able to load the data for debugging.  #USB-TAP

Can you please help me?

Hi,

First of all, pls check if you use MC56F8013VFAE or MC56F80xxx.

If you use MC56F8013 and usbtap device, you can use CodeWarrior for DSP56800E ver8.3 to download and debug. But you can also use CodeWarrior for mcu ver11.x to download/debug for MC56F8013.

If you use MC56F80xxx for example MC56F80748, you have to CodeWarrior for mcu ver11.x to download/debug, the usbtap device can not be used, you have to use third party device multilink universal device from PEmicro.

Anyway, I suggest you try to download CodeWarrior for mcu ver11.x and have a try, the tools can work on the Win10.
