Hello to NXP Community,
My company has a old design which use the PCF80C552, an 8 bit controler which datasheet are from 1998.
We make it run using an external Quartz working at 14.7456 MHz, package HC-49/S by MEIDEN.
Our manufacturer can't buy them anymore and they suggested us the three following references :
- 9C-14.7456MEEJ-T
- LFXTAL069825Reel
- 9B-14.7456MEEJ-B
Furthermore my boss asked me to check for datasheet or application notes in which NXP (Philips by that time) list some references to use with this controller. As the part is old I didn't find a thing on this.
Does anyone know if there are some quartz references suggested by NXP that work fine with the PCF80C552 ?
If not, does the part listed by our manufacturer will do the job ? We need to be sure they work fine as our manufacturer gonna buy the new reference and distribute it to the client right after the boards are built. If we're not sure of the new solution we will have to test it before selling it to market, which imply delays...
