problem UART

I am using QB4/8

is it possible to use uART as :

ESCI enabled

transmitter disabled as used as i/o pin for output operation.

reciever enabled and used for recieving serial data from PC.

plz tell some procedure do so.

please help.

I would have thought this was possible.

1. What do you mean ESCI enabled?

2. Are you having some specific problem implementing this?
