I solved the problem by finding the mem files for MMD0508 on an old hard drive.

I did a get reply with some/all(?) mem files from the service request. But it should be easily found an posted on the Freescale web site. There are many of us who will use "old/obsolete" equipment like the MMDS0508.

As Microsoft upgrade from this to Vista to whatever, I hope that Freescale keeps us in mind and does not force us to throw away our good, working and familar equipment.

No, I'm sure he is referring to what Motorola called "mem config files".

Having spent over $4000 on a MMDS0508 development system only a few years ago, I'm disappointed that Freescale won't support it. If you search for "MMDS" or "MMEVS" on the Freescale web site, you get 0 hits. Yet this is what Motorola touted as the 'must-have' for HC08 development, and is still sold through distributors.

I agree with your comments about Freescale and the MMDS0508.
