This part is going obsolete and i need to find a drop in replacement. the only one found so far is Maxim DS87C520 but it is a $30 part. Does NXP have a drop in replacement. i do not want to recompile code. i just want to use the same .hex file so i don't have to do paperwork. I found this NXP P87C51MC2BA/02,529 but i do not know if it is a drop in replacement and is it active without EOL coming up within 2 years
