MC9S08LG32 LCD Module Voltage?

I am using MC9S08LG32 (LQFP-80 package) with inbuilt LCD Module.

I am operating my core and other peripherals at 3.3 VDC.

Can I still operate my LCD Module from 5 VDC power-rail without damaging the controller.

Hello sandeepnaik,

The LG32 has an integrated LCD driver that can supply LCD waveforms for 5 V glass.  You can use the on-chip charge pump to create the 5V source needed to drive the LCD when operating the MCU at 3.3V.

The only time you should connect VLL3 to 5 V is when the MCU voltage is set at 5 V.

The externally supplied voltages MUST NOT EXCEED VDD :smileysad:.

Check out the reference manual, LCD section

Table 9-19. LCD Power Supply Options.
