MC68HC11E1CFNE3 replacement

I am a design engineer recently tasked with support of a product that was designed several years ago (late 1990s) by a company that our company merged with. The product uses a Motorola MC68HC11E1CFNE3  that was discontinued and no longer available. what are the chances that I can found a replacement part can let me simply to drop in the available part and program it with the present image used with the original part and run successfully?

 Sorry there is not a direct replacement for the HC11 family, this is too old 

You can check the S08 family  (current 8-bit family) 

Almost all the S08 devices has better features than the old HC11 devices

Depending on the application you can check the best option for you

But you will need to developt a new code and a new hardware
