Hi,
I'm designing a 802.15.4/ZigBee application and I can't find the output impedance off the transceiver MC13192. Seeing the design examples, I can deduce that it is 100 ohms, but am I right?
Also I'm interest in the S parameters off ZigBee antennas off development designs, can anybody help me?

Thx.

Have you read the Freescale Application Note, "Compact Integrated Antennas Designs and Applications for the MC1319x, MC1320x, and MC1321x?" The note number is AN2731. It has a lot of information about interfacing antennae to this type of controller family. It says: "To interface with the MC1319x, the standard component 50–200 Ohm balun is recommended."

In 1321x-ICB Development Board reference desing, component: 2450BL15B200 is used as balun. I dont see the point why is this exactly the right component for this interfacing cos its impedance is 200 Ohms on balanced side.

Unbalanced is 50 Ohms, which seems right to the antenna, but I dont understand why does it suppose to be 200 Ohms at modem side. I would appreciate if anyone can clear things up for me on this.

Thanks,

Adam
