Mustafa -

There are some simple examples in the RS08 Peripheral Module Quick Reference found at:

http://www.freescale.com/files/microcontrollers/doc/user_guide/RS08QRUG.pdf

The source files can also be downloaded at:

Hi Mustafa,

Maybe you are better off starting with QG family to learn on. The guide by hightech at the top of this forum is a good place to start.

The RS is aimed very much at very high volume commercial applications. You need to make 10,000 products to make up for all that is cutout of these mpu's with the small price difference.

For this reason they will probably never appeal to the hobbyist and so simple examplesguides etc won't be as easy to find.

Also after you have made yourself aware of the differences maybe you might stick to a QG4!

Hi David

Thank you so much for answers but I have to learn RS08 model :smileyhappy: Because Its neccessary for our applications. You said;

"You need to make 10,000 products to make up for all that is cutout of these mpu's with the small price difference."

its nice point and you are right. And also I will need 50.000 or more products. So there is no alternative and I have to learn it as you see. But still I havent got any basic simples codes.

We are using PIC for our applications and when I need any simple codes, I can find easly. But I have started RS08 just and finding a sample would be problem. This is really bad impression for the new customer. This point must change and I will hope it will change. About I have been searching some codes to understand easly RS08  for 2 weeks. But still there is a big  question mark in my brain. I am searching and waiting still progresses with a big hope...

Hello Mustafa,

Since the RS08 is quite a new device, I doubt if you will yet find very many published assembly code examples.  There appear significant differences between this device and the HC(S)08, so the conversion of existing code to RS08 assembly will likely not be trivial.  You may do better to consider using C programming for the new device, where existing examples are likely to convert more easily, especially if you are not already experienced in assembly language programming for Freescale MCUs.

Regards,
Mac
