Well, I'm a little lost!, I am trying to set up the MSCAN module on a GZ8 to communicate on a 500kbs CAN bus but I can't seem to get it to 'see' anything.
The Xtal freq is 8MHz which I think should be enough to be able to get the MSCAN to work at 500kbs?
I'm probably not setting up a register correctly I guess, but app note AN1798 only serves to confuse 
Any help would be much appreciated.

Well, replying to your own question is a little silly 
....perhaps I'll simplify it.
....perhaps I'll simplify it.What would be the highest bit rate I can have from a 8Mhz Xtal?
