Function works without declaration

I am using MC9s08pa16 for my bldc motor project with code warrior v 10.6. I have rpm control function in my project. do_rpm_calc is  my function. I have defined the function as do_rpm_calc but i ve declared it as do_calc_rpm. My code works fine and compiler doesnt throw the error. I have created .SAP file and gave it to the production. Will there be any problem in the future?. Why the compiler doesnt throw the error?. How come the code works fine?
