Error when downloading code to a blank MC13213 using BDM

When I download code to the blank MC13213 using BDM, it just stops at erasing stage.  I checked the BKGD pin, it shows some strange waveform.

Why does this happen? Could anyone help me? Thanks.

Hello Karl,

Firstly to answer your PM:

The blank device background mode entry thread of mine does not apply here. It only refers to initial connection and you are obviously past that, even load the algo.

What I have noticed is that you are using the S8P file for a GB60. While it is true that, at least initially, these devices were just a GB60 and a radio jammed into one piece of plastic I don't know whether this still holds true.

P&E have available a specific S8P for your device MC13213.S8P so I would be using this one.

Sometimes these different files are just the same thing with different names for simplicity, I have not checked this out in this case.

the GT/GB60 should work fine.

Please try and make sure you got the latest hiwave and codewarrior installed (minimum 6.1) and make sure the power supply for the IC is okay, the reset pin and debugger pins are correctly connected.

maybe your power supply is too weak to also support the debugger.
