DEMO9RS08KA2 Windows 7 64bit

Hi,

I got a DEMO9RS08KA2 board, my computer is running Windows 7 64bit. I can't install the driver or CW 6.2.

The USB to BDM Interface is using a MC9JB16FAE microcontroller. 

My questions:

* Is there a way to get this demo board working with my current setup?

* Could it work with CW10.1?

CW 6.x won't run in a WIN7 64 bit mode. There are many posts about this issue. Some have it working by replacing the driver DLL with newer compatible ones, but I could not get it working that way.

I (and others) use VMWARE (freeware) to create a virtual WinXP enviroment, and run CW 6.x in that.

Its very stable, Bit of a bother having to start the virtual machine,  but it runs OK.

Note that do this you will need a WIN XP install disk.

Note also that CW 10.1 (or .3) under WIN7 64bit has some driver bug and won't connect to a DEMOJM60 board.

Last time I checked into this problem last year, P&E didn't have a WIN7 64bit machine to check out the problem.
