Is it possible to connect both clock source on MC1321x
in order to use 16MHz when radio modem is on, and 32kHz when
I switch off the radio and run only the S08 micro section?

To obtain ultra low power, I need to switch on the radio modem
only when I need, but I need a S08 section running without
using internal (not exact) clock sources.

Strikecity,

if you see at paragraph 3.5 look at Figure 3-3. MC1321x Clock Connections,
I don't understand if it's possible to connect both clock sources.
Probably if both clock sources are connected you can't make the connection
between pin 9 and 10, but the S08 section has 32kHz source and radio has his 16MHz
clock source.

Doubts about the synchronization between radio and S08.....

stevesaway,

I'm looking at pages 7 and 9 of the MC1321x datasheet... it looks like the 16MHz radio crystal only drives the S08 core if pins 9 and 10 are connected. If you don't make this connection, you can drive the core at any frequency.
