Can MC9S08AWCFGE MCU be programed with DEMO9S08AW60E demonstration board?

Hi sir,

I am finding the demonstration board that can program the MC9S08AW32CFGE microcontroller (44pin). I found that MC9S08AW32CFGE is in the MC9S08AW Family and the DEMO9S08AW60E is a demonstration board for the MC9S08AW60 (64pin) microcontroller that is in MC9S08AW Family too. So, I wonder that DEMO9S08AW60E demonstration board can be used for MC9S08AW32CFGE MCU or not? If it can not use, please suggest which demonstration board that I can use for program my MC9S08AW32CFGE MCU?

Hi

you can use the demo board to program any S08, just you need to open the BKGD line and plug the new device (in this case the AW32 ) pins for programming (reset, VDD,GND, and  BKGD). These lines need to tied to the lines on the DEMO boards that came from the OSBDM ( in this board I am not sure if this is an S12 device or the S08JM) and you should be able to program the AW32.

You do not need the other pins to program this device.
