8-bit MCU for high PWM frequency

Hello,

I'm searching for an 8-bit microcontroller that would provide 5V PWM at frequencies up to 100 kHz with solid duty cycle control.

(I need it for fast H-bridge switching and basic regulation, so I only need good PWM and ADC)

Do you have any advices?

Hi

Several S08 device can support a PWM of 100 KHz, but if you need motor control please check the MC9S08MP family

8-bit General Purpose MP MCUs|NXP

I hope this will help you.

Please let me know if you have more questions

Thank you for your answer.

I will definitly consider using MC9S08MP, however its hard to get the 48-pin version in czech republic.

Do you think MC9S08DZ family is suitable as well?

Hi

Yes the MC9S08AC can be also a good option, as I remember if runs at 20 Mhz of bus clock and the TMP (this device has TPM) runs at bus clock/4 = 5 MHz so there is no problem to run at 10 KHz

Please let me know if you need a sample code

Have a good day.

Regards

Vicente

Hello.

I have reduced the amount of pins used, so I will probably use 32-pin MC9S08MP16 as you suggested.

However I have no experience with FTM. Could you please send me a sample code?

Thank you very much.
