Nick holds a BS degree from the University of Texas at Austin. Following his graduation, he served in the US Navy, as a Naval Aviator from 1983 – 1989. Prior to joining Freescale, Nick lead innovative product development programs at several high tech companies, including IBM, Motorola, Applied Micro and Dell. Nick holds a patent for an automated narrowband to broadband upgrade process he invented for use with personal computers. For the past 10 years Nick has focused primarily on embedded processor solutions, and has most recently lead product development programs targeted at the IOT, Smart Grid and Industrial Automation markets. Nick has published several papers and industry articles on communications, smart energy and security.
