Hi,

I can't find in the Kinetis family documentation any reference to the thermal pad connection! Is it isolated? Can I connect it to ground? Both alternatives are right?

I know it is usual to connect it to ground, but as a designer I prefer to see it written by freescale in order to be sure I can connect it. The only reference I've saw is the crystal layout guidelines in the Product Quick reference in which the Thermal Pad is connected to the ground.

Does anyone knows this information for sure? If it is written somewhere I've missed, please point me out!

Thank you

Thank you Jose!

I wish this information was present in the Datasheet or the Reference

Manual. Even if it is something quite "obvious", it is always nice to have

it confirmed somewhere!

I appreciate your help.

Luiz Fernando
