Hi Bio_TICFSL,

It seems that the link for the boot loader(u-boot) in item 3 in the pdf file is a dead end.

http://git.freescale.com/git/cgit.cgi/imx/uboot-imx.git/snapshot/uboot-uboot-imx-rel_imx_3.14.38_6qp...

Kindly advise.

Best Regards,

Ryan Jarina

Hello, please, if I could have some hints.

I have a iMX7D Sabre Rev.D board, SD/MMC on slot SD1 and official NXP BSP working like expected.

But, I need install Ubuntu distro on my board and follow attached tutorial, facing some issues.

Used:

  • host PC with Ubuntu 18.04
  • linux-2.6-imx-rel_imx_3.14.52_1.1.1_ga
  • gcc-linaro-arm-linux-gnueabihf-4.9-2014.09_linux
  • linaro-trusty-alip-20141024-684
  • 16GB SDcard
  • DIP switch on Sabre board in LOW position, except SW2-DIP2 for serial communication through minicom

1- I can't find ubuntu-core-14.04.2-core-armhf-tar.gz, but I found  ubuntu-base-14.04.2-core-armhf-tar.gz.

2- I follow described partitioning in tutorial and :

  • first partition (KERNEL) try FAT16 and WIN95 FAT32, but official BSP sdcard image creates a FAT12 partition: could be a problem?
  • following tutorial, I copied dtb and zImage in first partition (I copied also uImage), and copied rootfs on SD card second partition
  • u-boot works, but return errors
    • Fastboot: Normal
      Normal Boot
Hit any key to stop autoboot:  0
      switch to partitions #0, OK
      mmc0 is current device

I compile  kernel with default option, only change kernel compression from LZOS to GZIP.

Any suggestions are very appreciated.

Thanks a lot
