Internet of Things nodes are using a wide plethora of heterogeneous wireless connectivity protocols such as: IEEE® 802.15.4, Thread, ZigBee®, 6LoWPAN/IPv6, and BLE. By attending this session you will learn which wireless communication protocol is the right solution for their application requirements, while comparing various communication protocols for 2.4 GHz and sub-1 GHz technologies. This session will provide an overview on commonly used wireless technologies and standards for smart homes and which Freescale microcontroller families are best suited for connected appliance, sensor device or hub product idea.
