We are currently using Kinetis K64 for our product. We are planning to migrate to IMXRT mainly because of the increased internal RAM size available (512KB). Now we are using Free RTOS from NXP on top of FNET bootloader for our product. We need to have provision for updating the Application Firmware via TFTP from the bootloader. Is there any bootloader available for iMX RT from NXP / third party which can be used to serve this purpose?
NB:
We are not planning to use external RAM for our design.
Hi,
So sorry for late reply. I have confirmed it for you that by now the tftp mode do not support your above purpose. About the firmware download there are only two way by now. When you are using the OpenSDA (DAP LINK)mode , you can drag the images to the board device directly. The second way is to use the flashloader and mftool to download.
For you design, if you do not use the LCD display or camera, the internal 512KB RAM is enough for general application use. Hope this can do help for you.
Have a great day,
Best Regards
Rita

Hello b45499
Is it possible to update the firmware via FNET bootloader or by any other means like ftp, ethernet etc for iMXRT 1060 (we don't want to use- OpenSDA (DAP LINK)mode or Mfgtool) ?
Best Regards
