Hello,

I see that the i.MX7 chip has a Cortex-A7 CPU and Cortex-M4 MCU.

Can somebody tell me if the Cortex-M4 is equivalent to the Kinetis K series ?

Is it the exact same core ?

If I know the Kinetis MCU, will I have a short learning curve with the i.MX7 MCU part ?
Otherwise, is it a generic ARM cortex-M4 ?

Where can I get the description of the Cortex-M4 core inside the i.MX?

Thanks

Yes, it is exact same core.

Kinetis MCUs use generic ARM cortex-M4, so I dont understand your question.

Where can I get the description of the Cortex-M4 core inside the i.MX?

See chapter 4.2 ARM Cortex M4 Platform (CM4) in IMX7D Reference Manual
