Hello,

we have evaluated the i.MX 7ULP EVK and developed a new board with the industrial variant MCIMX7U5CVP06SD.

Now we are running almost the same BSP on the new board with a frequency of 720 MHz for A7 processor and 352,8 MHz for LPDDR3.

The datasheet of the industrial version noticed a maximum of 650 MHz for A7 and 271,5 MHz for LPDDR3. It seems to run stable (for now), but are there conditions where it could get into an unstable state? Maybe at lower temperatures?

Why is the maximum frequency of the industrial version lower than the consumer variant?

Kind regards,

Nico H.

Yes, for the maximum frequency of the industrial version lower than the consumer variant. But for the Junction Temperature Range is higher than the consumer. Details please refer to our datasheet.
