I have built the image for IMX8M Plus using Yocto and put it on SD card. While booting hardware through SD card I am getting error "[ 3.793856] ---[ end Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(179,98) ]---"

I have attached the log file here.

Hi @shahin22!

Please follow the steps of the chapter "4.2 Universal update utility" or chapter "4.3 Preparing an SD/MMC card to boot" in our Linux user guide, those chapters describe how to deploy the system using the uuu or with Linux commands.

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/user-guide/IMX_LINUX_USERS_GUIDE.pdf

If the problem persists, I recommend checking using our precompiled images if you made a modification in the Yocto Project.

Thank you for contacting NXP Support!

What board are you using?

What steps are you using to write the SD card?

I recommend using the UUU to deploy the system on your board.

Best Regards!
