Hello,
It is noted that IMX8M will support MLC,SLC and Toggle NAND flash. Also support eMMC version upto 5.1 (if use latest bsp). I could see high density eMMC5.1 may have TLC NAND Flash in it .
Shall we still use the eMMC having TLC type of NAND Flash in it?
I got below response from NXP support " as I known, imx8M can support emmc 5.1" :smileyhappy:
Thanks you!

Vinoth TA
Hello,
IMX8M documentation (Reference Manual, DataSheets) state, that eMMC 5.0 is supported.
This means, that devices of eMMC 5.1 can be used as much as they are backward compatible
with eMMC 5.0.
Have a great day,
Yuri.

Hello,
As I understand - specifics of NAND, used in eMMC devices, is internal eMMC issue,
and this does not affect eMMC (external) interface. So, customers can use i.MX8M with
any eMMC, satisfying the 5.0 specs.

Yuri.
