Hi All,
We are going to make product based on IMX8MQ (MIMX8MQ6DVAJZAA) processor. Currently we are doing POC on IMX8MQ processor EVK.
Please provide some suggestion or direction for this issue so that we can proceed ahead.
If this is not right forum let me know on which forum I should post this issue.
Thanks,
Jemish
你好!
我也遇到了同样的问题,请问有没有办法解决 ?
Hi Joan,
We haven't tested it on yocto version 4.14.78. Please note that we are using LCD via eLCDIF interface using DSI interface.
There is no specific test or command to reproduce this issue. I just keep on rebooting board. And this issue got reproduced.
Thanks,
Jemish
我也遇到了同样的问题,请问您是怎么解决的
Hi Li,
I wasn't able to solve it and NXP response was very poor. We were then using custom LCD (1280x800) and with that it is working fine.
Thanks,
Jemish
你好!
能不能把你的设备树,或者mipi lcd驱动发给我一下。谢谢。
Hi Joan,
One more input based on my experiments we faced weston launch issued (failed to launch or out of sync) only when we drive LCD using DSI controller via eLCDIF or DCSS. We haven't face this issue when we drive HDMI display using DCSS via HDMI controller. It means there is no issues in weston but something is missing in DSI controller. Do you have any suggestion or direction for this issue?
Thanks,
Jemish
Hi Joan,
Any update on this?
Thanks,
Jemish
sorry for my delay, I have assigned your case, I have replied to you for your detailed case.
Hi Joan,
Regarding these issues I reported which are observed in kernel 4.14.98 (imx_4.14.98_2.0.0_ga). Both of the reported issues are not present in previous kernel 4.9.88 (imx_4.9.88_2.0.0_ga). I am looking into this direction right now but meanwhile please consider this observation so that you can provide solution faster.
Thanks,
Jemish
could you reproduce this issue with nxp oled display? or only customized display?
Hi Joan,
Running NXP OLED display is another issue. Weston on NXP OLED is not working correctly (especially when weston launches) if we drive NXP OLED using eLCDIF interface. Using NXP OLED when weston launches it shows very bad screen. Based on my experiments and observations it seems that NXP hasn't tested NXP OLED via eLCDIF interface with weston.
Thanks,
Jemish
do you test other yocto version like 4.14.78? refer to the release note:
The DRM mode test fails with no display when setting mode
continuously, and no desktop after restarting the Weston service.
I'm not sure if this is your issue, and what weston command you use? pls give me the steps you did, let me reproduce this on my board
