For development we have been using MCIMX6UL-EVKB kits from NXP (arrived as SCH-28617 Rev C5) and everything works as it should.
Recently we purchases (3) more MCIMX6UL-EVKB kits from NXP (arrived as SCH-28617 Rec C6), and the code we have been developing no longer even loads the SPL from the SD slot. The only way we can get to the Uboot prompt is a serial downloader (ie - run from RAM).
Given that the SCH numbers are identical, the only difference we see is the MX6 itself (MCIMX6G2AVM07AB on the new boards vs MCIMX6G2CVM05AA) where the newer IMX6 is automotive and can run up to 700MHz, where ours are commercial and up to 500MHz.
Since we cannot find schematics for the newer SoC (Rev C6), we were hoping someone could enlighten us to any changes electrically to these boards?
Also the eFuses are mysteriously not identical to our Rev C5:

Hello James McCusker,
The changes between the C5 and C6 board revisions are listed as:
U101 (MPU) update to MCIMX6G2AVM07AB
U303 update to MT25QL256ABA1EW9
The main difference from the boards would be the silicon revision. The only documented change between to revision 1.2 is an erratum fix (you can see the errata document for more information) but there is a similar post concerning the OTPs, albeit without a definite answer.

I’ll investigate a bit more about the changes on this silicon revision and I will let you know as soon as I have more information.
Regards,
Much appreciated!
Best regards
James McCusker
