I am do flexibility study on SOC for a project. Currently, I am considering imx8ulp and imx93. Considering potential heat generated, I am thinking about lowering CPU clock. It looks both SOC does not support dynamic frequency scaling, right? Is it possible to configure them to a fixed clock lower than defined one from default configuration on kernel and/or uboot?
Hi @PotatoChip!
Thank you for contacting NXP Support!
For iMX8ULP and iMX93 you can reduce the CPU frequency with the LPM module.
You can consult the information on our Linux Reference Manual on page 32.
