Is it possible to freely mux SAI3 to any pin on I.MX7?

In the Pins tool I can see it is possible to mux the SAI3 (e.g. tx_data) into either UART3_RTS, SD1_DATA3 or SD3_DATA3 and into their available pins. Are these the only options, or is there a way to freely mux SAI3 into any pin? If it is possible, how can it be done and what needs to be changed and can I use the pin tools for that or do it manually by editing the files?

Hi Juhani,

Each pin on i.MX devices has up to 8 potential functions, and on the other side, one function can be available in different pins.

The pins that you can choose are described in IOMUX chapter of IMX6DQRM.pdf and you can only use that pins.

The way it is explained in the folloinf thread may be useful.
