I have dowonloded Yacto pre-build bsp for WaRP7 board from url FSL Community BSP. But don't know how to flash it on board. Is there any blog or tutorial which explains step by step procedure to install it on board.
Hello Ajit Khot,
You may find the available documentation for this board on Element14’s website:
I would recommend starting with the User Guide Manual (available on the link below)
https://github.com/WaRP7/WaRP7-User-Guide/releases
There is information on updating U-boot (Chapter 4) and the Linux Kernel (Chapter 5). There is also very user friendly guide on the following thread from Element14 Communties:
I hope this helps!
Regards,
Hi Gusarambula,
Thanks for replay,
I have followed the steps provided on thread https://www.element14.com/community/community/designcenter/single-board-computers/warp7/blog/2016/09... also. When I run the imx_usb with the u-boot.imx in path as argument, uboot don't halt the booting process and minicom shows kernal logs with login prompt as the board contains pre-installed Yacto os. So, no uboot prompt no uboot commands.
Is there any way to remove previously installed Yacto from the board or remove partition table from emmc.
When u-boot is loaded with imx_usb utility, it will start immediately and present s short countdown 2-1-0. In this time frame you need to press a key in a your console terminal. So use both of your hands, start the download with one hand and use the other hand to press a key.
To simplify this I have the console terminal on a seperate Windows PC and the imx_usb utility is on my Linux machine. Minicom is a pain in itself anyway :-)
But you can also set a higher value for the wait period in the u-boot environment variables, then it's easier to handle. So start the board normally and interrupt the loading process with a key press, then set the new value in u-boot.
