IMX7 e10574 Watchdog: A watchdog timeout or software trigger will not reset the SOC

Hello,

I am referring IMX7 errata and I have found below two versions of them.

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/IMX7D_2N09P.pdf

https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/errata/IMX7DS_3N09P.pdf

In the errara version 3N09P, there is no e10574 Watchdog errara which means that issue is resolved in 3N09P mask of IMX7 dual and solo products. Now we want to buy IMX7 solo and dual processor with top marking 3N09P not the older one we are having. But in the Buy page, there is only part number option but no top marking details.

Can NXP please clarify/confirm that we will receive "e10574 Watchdog" errata fixed products(i.e with masks 3N09P) in all our future purchase? Is there any way we can mention the same?

Please note this is bug is very critical for us since our custom board must need watch dog reboot support .

Thanks in advance,

Gopinath S

Hello Gopinath,

I checked 2 documents you mentioned:

i.MX 7Dual Arm Cortex-A7 Processor|NXP

pastedImage_2.png

Both documents have e10574(watchdog) errata.

--In 3N09P, page 10

--In 2N09P, page 12.

check it again, please!

Have a nice day!

Hi,

Yes. The Errara document updated on March 26, 2018 does have that watchdog Errara. Great!
