Dear all:

Recently,I get a SABRE Board for Smart Devices Based on the i.MX 6 Series. Are there any documents related to how to use the SABRE Board for Smart Devices Based on the i.MX 6?  Also,I want to boot from the SD3. Which configurations should I set and select?  What else should I set to enable boot from SD3?

Additionally, I want to use the uart to output the messages from boot and kernel. However,I do not see the uart connector. Will I pull out the uart?  Could I use the usb to output and control the device? How can I set to use the USB ADB  functions?

Best Regards,

Justin Wu

Hello,justin,

>>Are there any documents related to how to use the SABRE Board for Smart Devices Based on the i.MX 6?

Our SABRESDP /sabreSDB board is suitabel to you . you can download reference desgin from our offical webiste.

All document:http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=i.MX6Q&nodeId=018rH3ZrDRB24A&fpsp=1&t...

Software & tool: http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=i.MX6Q&nodeId=018rH3ZrDRB24A&fpsp=1&t...

>> Also,I want to boot from the SD3. Which configurations should I set and select?  What else should I set to enable boot from SD3?

you can refer to our AI board designed for Automotive. On this board, Booting from SD3 is supported. you can alse look through boot mode chapter in i.MX6 reference manual to get informaiton on how to boot from SD3, even every bootable device.

AI board : i.MX6_SABRE_AI_DESIGNFILES, please download it.

>>,I do not see the uart connector. Will I pull out the uart?

On sabresdSDP-board, debug UART is UART1, In order to debug board, uart1 have been directly converted to USB . See sabread SDP board schemati., page 13 of pdf. So you can connect J509 to your PC usb host with a USB OTG cable. then when the board is booted , you can see booting messages on console.

>>How can I set to use the USB ADB  functions?

There are many document on how to install or use android adb, you can search them from internet. try it ,please !
