I have a case about video display (mipi output). The customer (oled manufacturer ) requirement is:
cpu (mipi output) -> oled panel( 4K resolution)
I want to use i.MX8QUADMAX cpu to design this project. my question is:
Does i.MX8quadmax support 8 lane mipi output (4k resolution)?
the IMX8QMAEC.pdf document said:
"This processor supports a single 4K display (with multiple display output options, including MIPI-DSI, HDMI, eDP/DP, and LVDS), or multiple smaller displays."
"Supports single UltraHD 4Kp60 display or up to 4 independent FullHD 1080p60 displays"
"Display IO : 2× MIPI-DSI with 4 lanes each"
Can I combine 2 x mipi-dsi channels to a 8 lane mipi output (4k resolution) ?

You can have 2 MIPI with 4 lanes each one, so you can have 8 lane for both at 4K.

Not understand the reply much.
By the reply, can we use a DSI to HDMI transmitter which use DSI 8 lanes combined as input for the 4K 30Hz or 4K 60Hz HDMI output? yes or no?
And, If just use one port (4 lanes DSI), what's the max resolution can it support?
