Hi,
In iMX28 EVK software portal they are providing kernel version 2.6. but we are using latest linux kernel version, So Can we use latest Linux kernel 3.10 in iMX28 EVK??
Can we use Yocto build for Linux kernel 3.10 with iMX28 EVK instead of LTIB.
Hello,
Please look at the following app note :
"Building for i.MX Mature Boards"
http://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN12024.pdf
Regards,
Yuri.
mx28 is well supported in mainline kernel, so I suggest you to use the latest one from kernel.org instead of 3.10.
Hi Karthikeyan,
There are BSPs for i.MX processors developed by NXP and there are also BSPs created by a community external to NXP.
You can find the NXP BSPs releases here: git.freescale.com > fsl-arm-yocto-bsp.git
Unfortunately as you said there is no support with Yocto for imx28, however on the other hand the BSP releases developed by the external community can be found here: https://github.com/Freescale
Here you will find Yocto support for imx28, just please note that NXP provides support of the BSPs developed by NXP, but unfortunately the releases of the external community are out of our scope.
If you need support on any of the community's releases you may subscribe the FSL Community BSP mailing list at freescale.github.io to talk directly with the developers and other users.
https://lists.yoctoproject.org/listinfo/meta-freescale
I hope this helps.
Regards,
Carlos
