Dm-crypt on NAND partition

Dear NXP team,

"We're using an i.MX6Solo processor in one of our products, paired with a 512 MB NAND flash.

Our objective is to encrypt one of the NAND partitions using dm-crypt. However, we've encountered information in an application note suggesting that dm-crypt isn't compatible with NAND flash.

Could you kindly confirm whether dm-crypt is suitable for encrypting a NAND partition?"

Thanks & Regards,

Sharmila D

Hi,

No, the NAND flash is an MTD device, The dm-crypt just applies running a block-based storage.
