I am running a stock debian armhf system using the kernel(3.10.17) provided from Torodex, our board vendor.
I'm trying to run X using a decent resolution (1280x1024) on the VGA connector.
My kernel line is"video=mxcfb0:dev=vga,1280x1024M@60
Is this correct?
X -configure doesn't find anything to work with.
Do I manually apply some settings for X?
Any help would be much appreciated.

Please refer to Chapter 18 (X Windows Acceleration) of "i.MX 6 Linux Reference Manual".
Also, "Freescale_XServer_Video_Driver_User¡¯s_Guide.pdf" may be useful.
Have a great day,
Yuri

I'm unable to find either of those documents and I have no idea what the file you linked to is for.
Can you please provide links to the docs?

fsl-yocto-3.10.17_1.0.0.gz is a compressed file, uncompress it and find the files inside
