Boardbring up - IMX6solo

Hi All ,

I am trying to bring up a custom board based on IMX6SOLO. currently i am  using a Development kit based on (IMX6SX) ---sabresd and android is running  on it. can somebody give me some  pointer for starting or required/possible change in u-boot/kernel ?

I am planning to start with Sdcard boot and then move to eMMC.  here are my questions:

1) Is there any porting guide from freescale for new board ?

2) what are the change, I have to do in u-boot for DRAM (Hynix - H5TC4G63CFR-PBA ) ? pointer to the source file for imx6solo  ?

3) Do I have to change anything in Mgftool for downloading the new u-boot/kernel/android images ?

4) any other suggest  ?

Hi robin

1. attached is Porting Guide document

2. for new board it is necessary to run ddr test, find new ddr settings

and update appropriate  *.cfg file, like uboot/..mx6sabresd/mx6dl_4x_mt41j128.cfg

3. the same modifications are needed for mfg tool firmware, steps for rebuilding

one can find in attached Yocto Guide sect.6.2 Manufacturing Tool, MFGTool

Thank you for your reply.

I am trying to run the Stress test tool but i did not find any script for my CPU  imx6solo . can you please guide me how to generate this script file e.g any xls sheeti.Mx6DQSDL DDR3 Script Aid  like you have for other processor.

please take a look at the attached XLS sheet is it correct ? or i need to use any other xls sheet for reference ?

I am getting this error in stress tool :

ERROR: DCD addr is out of valid range.

ERROR: DCD addr is out of valid range.

can you please take a look on our setting in attached xls sheet ? we are using H5TC4G63CFR-PBA DDR3(256x16) . here are the spec for this device.

please give us your feedback based on xlsx setting, am i missing anything ?
